The Lil' Blackbox comes in two options: Arduino Shield or Full Standalone
Both options are equally capable of controlling Holset's VGT's
The standalone of course has more bells and whistles:

What is Arduino ?
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for anyone making interactive projects.
Holset VGT
The Holset VGT uses a turbine stage where the swallowing capacity is automatically varied while the engine is running. This permits turbine power to be set, providing sufficient energy to drive the compressor at the desired boost level wherever the engine is operating. This is achieved by varying the area of the nozzle; a set of guide vanes that control the flow of exhaust gas through the turbine.

Writing your own code can be difficult. Here you don’t have to go it alone! There is a community in place to help you develop code for your specific needs.

No problem!
There is startup code, easily put on your Arduino to get the unit up and working. Each Lil’ Blackbox has up to 4 tunable turbo RPM curves and 2 performance mode options on the board itself!
